NSW Basemap Dark\nGrey
The NSW Basemap\nDark Grey theme provides a dark background with minimal labelling and features\nkey roads, hydrology, and highlights landcover and national parks. The dark\ntheme provides an ideal backdrop to display a thematic layer of data to create\na visually unique map graphic.
The web map is\nregularly updated and will show new information captured or sourced by DCS\nSpatial Services. All datasets used in this service are authoritative\nfoundational spatial data. Access the NSW Foundation Spatial Data Framework for details and specifications.
NSW Basemaps\nare vector tile, web accessible maps that enable faster loading times for users\nand high-resolution display at all zoom levels. Vector tile layers can adapt to\nthe resolution of a particular display device and can be restyled for multiple\nuses.

| \n Relationship to themes and datasets\u00a0\u00a0 \n | \n \n The NSW Vector tile is made up from elements from NSW Administrative\n Boundaries, Land Parcel Property, Water, Transport and Geocoded Address\n Themes as well as Features of Interest and Physiography Categories of the\n Foundation Spatial Data Framework (FSDF). \n | \n
| \n Accuracy\u00a0 \n | \n \n The dataset maintains a positional relationship to, and alignment\n with, a range of themes from the NSW FSDF including, Transport, Imagery,\n Positioning, Water and Land Cover. This dataset was captured by digitising\n the best available cadastral mapping at a variety of scales and accuracies,\n ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000 according to the National Mapping Council of\n Australia, Standards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the\n feature instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the\n well-defined points. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m,\n 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = 50m. A program of positional\n upgrade (accuracy improvement) is currently underway.\u00a0\u00a0 \n | \n
