\nThis dataset has spatial reference [WGS 84 \u2248 GDA94] which may result in\nmisalignments when viewed in GDA2020 environments. A similar service with a\n\u2018multiCRS\u2019 suffix is available which can support GDA2020, GDA94 and WGS 84 \u2248\nGDA2020 environments.
\nIn due course, and allowing time for user feedback and testing, it is intended\nthat the original service name will adopt the new multiCRS functionally.
NSW Land Parcel\nand Property Theme\u00a0Water Feature is a polygon feature that represents the cadastral\nboundary of tidal, non-tidal and ocean waters. \u00a0Parcel\u00a0polygons\nare\u00a0defined\u00a0by a\nseries of boundary lines that store recorded dimensions as attributes in the\nlines table. It visualises these boundaries of land parcels, often\nbuildings on land, the parcel identifier, and basic\u00a0topographic\u00a0features.
The land parcel and property\ntheme provides the\u00a0foundation\u00a0fabric of land\u00a0ownership.\u00a0 It\u00a0consists of the\ndigital cadastral database and associated parcel and property\ninformation.
NSW Land Parcel\nand Property Theme\u00a0Water Feature is made up of the following features\nwithin the NSW Land Parcel and\nProperty Theme.

Water feature -\u00a0represents\ntidal, non-tidal and ocean waters which form a cadastral boundary.

\nLand and property data underpins the economic, social and environmental fabric\nof NSW and is used, among\u00a0other things, to:

\n\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\nImprove infrastructure\nand property development planning
\n\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Inform water and carbon accounting programs.

Spatial\nServices continuously updates the Land Parcel and Property theme with\ninformation sourced from relevant stakeholders and custodians. The majority of\nupdates to the datasets in this theme originate from subdivision, registration\nand gazettal activity.
The data\nis up to date to within 10 working days from when a plan is lodged at NSW Land\nRegistry Services. Data is also sourced from Crown Lands, the Office of\nEnvironment and Heritage, the Aboriginal Land Council, Local Land Services, the\nElectoral Commission and NSW Trade and Investment.
The\nCadastral upgrade program commenced in 2007 and is ongoing, improving the\nspatial accuracy of different feature classes. Upgrades are carried out in\nconsultation with the relevant Local Government Authority and are further\nfacilitated through the incorporation of data provided by external agencies.\nUpgrade positional accuracy varies across the state and generally ranges from\nless than 5m from true position in rural areas to less than 0.2m from true\nposition in urban areas, dependent on the survey control available.
Data\nquality for both Cadastral Maintenance and Cadastral Upgrade activities are\nassured through specification compliance and data topology rules. The client\ndelivery database is automatically updated each evening with the changes that\noccurred that day in the maintenance environment.

Accuracy\u00a0 | The dataset maintains a positional relationship to, and alignment with, the Lot and Property digital datasets. This dataset was captured by digitising the best available cadastral mapping at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000 according to the National Mapping Council of Australia, Standards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = 50m. A program of positional upgrade (accuracy improvement) is currently underway.\u00a0\u00a0 |
