3D Strata data product is a static dataset of registered\ncadastral strata scheme title plans digitised from plan images. This product\ndoes not form part of the dynamic DCDB cadastral web services. It provides\naccess to state-wide visualisation of digitised strata plans and is a\ncomplimentary dataset to the official cadastral features within New South\nWales. The Strata Plans 3D data is an indicative representation of registered\nstrata plans in NSW. The 3D Strata contains registered land titles only.

The creation of the 3D Strata data employs industry levels\nof rigour, skill and care in ensuring the relevance, timeliness, accuracy,\ncoherence, interpretability and accessibility of this data. But does not\nguarantee the data is without errors, additions or omissions and provides no\nguarantees as to the usefulness, accuracy or timeliness of the data provided.\nData products produced are for research purposes only and should be considered\nindicative and for representational purposes only. This data may be used in\nconjunction with cadastral authoritative datasets for visualisation purposes.\nDCS Spatial Services may at its sole discretion change the type(s) of spatial\ndatasets (or layers) that it makes available.

Digital strata plans are derived products produced by\ngeoreferencing and deriving features and textual information from the face of\nthe strata title plan image. The textual and diagram information is translated\ninto a computer readable digitised format for storage, viewing and querying in\ngeospatial technologies.
\n\nPositional boundary parent parcel features within each\ndigitised strata plan are derived from the NSW Cadastre Lot features.\u00a0 NSW Cadastre web service is a dynamic map of\ncadastral features extracted from the NSW Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB).

\n\nThe 3D Buildings are outlines of building that have been\ncreated and classified through remote sensing information and provide\nfootprint, elevation, height and roof form features of buildings. This data is\n3D enabled using LiDAR datasets in order to create the 3D Building features\nwith a Level of Detail 2.0.

\n\nBare Earth Digital Elevation Model with 1m resolution.\nGenerated from Classification Level 3 LiDAR data. Accuracy LiDAR point cloud\nused to generate DEM was \u00b10.3m @ 95% CI. The coverage of this dataset is over\nthe Sydney region. The C3 LAS data set contains point data in LAS 1.2 format\nsourced from a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) from an ALS50ii (Airborne\nLaser Scanner) sensor. The processed data has been manually edited to achieve\nICSM classification level 3 whereby the ground class contains minimal\nnon-ground points such as vegetation, water, bridges, temporary features,\njetties etc. This data has an accuracy of 0.3m (95% Confidence Interval)\nvertical and 0.8m (95% Confidence Interval) horizontal with a minimum point\ndensity of 1.03 laser pulse per square metre. \n\n\u00a0Lineage Process Step
3D Strata was created with the utilisation of multiple\ninternal spatial datasets. 3D spatial lot and common property lot heights and\nvolumes are suggestive only.
\n\nThe following methodology was utilised for the\ndimensioning of the digitalised strata plans for 3D visualisation purposes.
\n\nSurveyor strata plan images do not contain comprehensive\nheight, elevation or survey accurate positioning of the building features\nwithin a parcel of land. Strata plan floor levels are distributed within the\nbuilding footprint and maximum eave height or flat roof form height of the\nbuilding forms, allowing for spatial units to extruded vertically up to the\nroof height of the building shell.\u202f StratumLevel_maximum = max (StratumLevel).\nCeilingHeight = (Height_MAX)\u2044((StratumLevel_maximum+1) )
\n\nThe following methodology was used to create a floor\nelevation height for each lot and part lot of the strata scheme units.\nElevation may represent 3D Building elevation or 1 and 5 metre DEM elevation.\nFloorEaveHeight = Elevation+(CeilingHeight \u00d7 StratumLevel). For all strata\nplans that do not have corresponding 3D building height data a process of\nspatial unit floor to ceiling heights was determined through an estimation\nbased on residential height regulations.\u202fIn the case of the production of the\nheights for the estimated and generic height spatial units,\u202fall\u202flots\u202fand\u202fcommon\nproperty\u202funits were classed as \u201cHabitable\u201d. "Habitable\u201d gives reference to\nthe minimum and maximum heights for floor to ceiling measurements outlined\nin\u202fBuilding Code of Australia (BCA). With a minimum height of 2.4 and maximum\nheight of 3 metre ceilings, a determined height of 2.8 metres was used to\nrepresent the height of individual spatial units with reference to strata floor\nlevel data.\u202f

| \n Accuracy\u00a0 \n | \n \n The dataset maintains a positional relationship\n to, and alignment with, the Lot and Property digital datasets. The Lot and\n Property data was captured by digitising the best available cadastral mapping\n at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000\n according to the National Mapping Council of Australia, Standards of Map\n Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature instance will be\n within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points.
