BioBanking enables biodiversity credits to be generated by landowners who commit to enhancing and protecting biodiversity on their land through a biobanking agreement. These credits can then be sold, generating funds to manage the site for conservation into the future. Developers can buy these credits and use them to offset the impacts on biodiversity that will occur as a result of approved development.
