In due course, and allowing time for user\nfeedback and testing, it is intended that these original services will adopt\nthe new multiCRS functionally.

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\nEasement (Including Carrigeway):\u00a0depicts a right, attached to land (the dominant\ntenement), to use other land (the servient tenement) for a specified\nnon-exclusive purpose known to the law, e.g. right of carriageway, easement to\ndrain water etc. \u2013 however the law also recognises an easement in favour of a\nstatutory authority without a dominant tenement, described as an \u2018easement in\ngross\u2019
\n\nLand and property data underpins the economic, social and environmental fabric\nof NSW and is used, amongst other things, to:

\n\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\nDefine allowable use of land
\n\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\nManage native title,\nnature conservation,\nheritage, protection, defence,\nand disaster management
\n\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Improve infrastructure\nand property development planning
\n\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Inform water and carbon accounting programs.
Spatial Services continuously\nupdates the Land Parcel\nand Property theme with information\nsourced from relevant stakeholders and custodians. The majority of updates to the datasets\nin this theme originate from\nsubdivision, registration and gazettal activity.
The data is up to date to\nwithin 10 working days from\nwhen a plan is lodged at Spatial Services. Data is also sourced\nfrom Crown Lands, the Office\nof Environment and Heritage,\nthe Aboriginal Land Council, Local Land Services, the Electoral Commission and the Department of Trade\nand Investment.

Data quality for both Cadastral Maintenance\nand Cadastral Upgrade activities\nare assured through specification compliance and data\ntopology rules.
The client delivery database is automatically updated\neach evening with the changes that\noccurred that day in the maintenance environment.

Accuracy\u00a0 | The dataset maintains a positional relationship to, and alignment with, the Lot and Property digital datasets. This dataset was captured by digitising the best available cadastral mapping at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000 according to the National Mapping Council of Australia, Standards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = 50m. A program of positional upgrade (accuracy improvement) is currently underway.\u00a0\u00a0 |
