The areas were carefully selected from a sub set of topographic map grid intersects used in Land Degradation Survey of NSW in 1988 (LDS) but moved approximately 200m NE to align with GDA96 map sheet 5km by 10km intersects. The sites selected will represent gully erosion as a indicator of soil condition and management for each CMA area across NSW and are set up as a baseline to monitor trends in gully conditon.  Each area was assessed for type and extent of gully erosion and attributed using Franklin et al. classification.  Land use and vegetation in the area was also recorded.  Mapping was undertaken at an observation scale of approximately 1:5000 and each 1:100 000 scale map sheet was stored separately in personal geodatabases.  Where a 1:100 000 scale map sheet crossed a CMA boundary the 100 ha circles were recorded in a separate file for each CMA area.;\n;\n\"", "num_resources": 0, "num_tags": 0, "organization": {"id": "07979e16-5cbe-436c-9b35-6dd8c9d30512", "name": "oeh-office-of-environment-and-heritage", "title": "Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH)", "type": "organization", "description": "OEH cares for and protects NSW\u2019s environment and heritage, which includes the natural environment, Aboriginal country, culture and heritage, and built heritage.\r\n\r\nThe Office supports the community, business and government in protecting, strengthening and making the most of a healthy environment and economy in NSW.\r\n\r\nOEH also provides services and other support to the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, NSW Environmental Trust, Western Sydney Parkland Trust, Parramatta Park Trust, Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust, Historic Houses Trust, Taronga Conservation Society Australia, Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust, and the Environment Protection Authority.\r\n\r\nSee: http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/\r\n", "image_url": "2019-06-20-041940.170661Office-of-Environment-and-Heritage.jpg", "created": "2018-06-15T18:40:10.365903", "is_organization": true, "approval_status": "approved", "state": "active"}, "owner_org": "07979e16-5cbe-436c-9b35-6dd8c9d30512", "private": false, "spatial": "{\"type\": \"Polygon\", \"coordinates\": [[[153.6118, -37.3808], [153.6118, -28.229], [140.9562, -28.229], [140.9562, -37.3808], [153.6118, -37.3808]]]}", "spatial_coverage": "{\"type\": \"Polygon\", \"coordinates\": [[[153.6118, -37.3808], [153.6118, -28.229], [140.9562, -28.229], [140.9562, -37.3808], [153.6118, -37.3808]]]}", "state": "active", "temporal_coverage_from": "2008-01-01", "temporal_coverage_to": "2009-06-30", "title": "Soil Condition Monitoring Indicator Dataset: Broadscale Gully Erosion 2008 baseline", "type": "dataset", "unpublished": "false", "update_freq": "unknown", "url": null, "version": null, "extras": [{"key": "harvest_portal", "value": "SEED"}, {"key": "harvest_url", "value": "https://dataset-uat-new.stage.lz.seed.nsw.gov.au/dataset/soil-condition-monitoring-indicator-dataset-broadscale-gully-erosion-2008-baseline33681"}], "resources": [], "tags": [], "groups": [], "relationships_as_subject": [], "relationships_as_object": [], "likes": 0, "tracking_summary": {"total": 0, "recent": 0}}}
