As technology continues to shape our lives, the NSW Government is committed to using digital in a safe, secure and accessible way to support the people of NSW. From transforming service delivery experiences for our customers, better connecting our regional and rural areas, and delivering digital solutions to enhance the work of our frontline staff – technology used in the right way can improve the way we live, work and do business.
The new NSW Digital Strategy is underpinned by five missions for digital transformation across the NSW Government, each dedicated to delivering accessible, inclusive, secure and integrated digital services that every person in NSW will be able to access and benefit from. The strategy reflects my priority for the NSW public sector to harness the power of digital to make it easier for people to engage and transact with government – regardless of their age, ability, background or circumstance.
Through our key missions of accessibility, productivity, trust, resilience and skills, the NSW Digital Strategy sets the direction for how we deliver world-class digital services that strengthen our communities and support the State’s economic growth.
While there are significant opportunities presented by digital technologies, there are also risks, so the need to get it right is more important than ever. The NSW Digital Strategy lays the foundations for NSW to be a world-leading digital government while prioritising people at the heart of everything we do.
