The Data Passport Portal is being streamlined
From 28 September 2025 the Data Passport Portal will be transitioning.
During this transition, users may still request access to the Journey Lab Tools and Safe Researcher Training Course.

About
The Data Passport Portal is an online accreditation and data application management system managed by the NSW Data Analytics Centre. The platform enables government and non-government users to request access to government-held restricted datasets and insights.
The Data Passport:
- Streamlines the existing data access and approvals processes across multiple agencies
- Enables better data security, traceability, and visibility across the data approvals processes
- Reduces processing time by ensuring researchers only need to provide evidence of their identity and capabilities to government once every three years.
