The Licence Administration System of the NSW Office of Water was accessed for data on licensed entitlements to water under the Water Management Act (WMA) 2000 for those water sources with water sharing plans, Part 9 of the WMA for licences held by water management authorities (Macquarie Generation, Hunter Water Corporation, Sydney Catchment Authority, Delta Electricity), the Water Act 1912 for those water sources not currently included in a water sharing plan and Part 5 of the Water Act 1912 groundwater licences for those groundwater sources known to be highly connected to surface water systems (Hunter River, Bega River).
