Annual reporting is an integral part the NSW Government’s corporate governance framework, describing the achievements, performance, outlook and financial position of agencies for each reporting year.
This report covers Resilience NSW for the period 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021.
In the report foreword, Commissioner of Resilience NSW and Deputy Secretary Emergency Management Shane Fitzsimmons (AFSM) said the reporting period covered a year of challenges for the state, and opportunities to learn from and better respond to the needs of people through disasters.
"During this time, communities of NSW have once again experienced difficult and uncertain times including significant flood events in March 2021, and the continuing challenges and implications of the global COVID-19 pandemic," Commisssioner Fitzsimmons said.
"There has never been a more important time to help our communities to prepare, rebuild, heal and recover," he said.
