Estuary perimeters have been defined as a GIS spatial layer based on the 1:25,000 topographic map series and coastline layers from the Land and Property Management Authority.; ; Perimeters were required as a variable for normalising the length of foreshore occupied by licensed structures such as jetties, walls, sheds etc and enable inter-estuary comparison of relative pressure.
