This dataset summarises the government schools that have partial or complete security fencing as of July 2016.
Data Notes:
-
An asterisk (*) denotes schools with partial fencing.
-
Schools with security fencing report a significant reduction in the number of break and enter and vandalism incidents.
-
Although security fencing is effective, it must be part of an overall security plan. This can include security guard patrols, electronic surveillance and security alarms, lock down devices designed for computers and other equipment, and security grills on windows and doors.
