Kyogle Council

Kyogle Council is in the hinterland of the Northern Rivers region of NSW, and contains a population of about 3000. Kyogle Council services an area of 3,589 square kilometres and adjoins the Scenic Rim Council in Queensland and the Northern Rivers local government areas of Tweed, Lismore City, Richmond Valley, Clarence Valley and Tenterfield Shire in New South Wales.

Kyogle Flood study examines and defines the flood behaviour of the Richmond River and Fawcetts Creek around Kyogle township area including the associated floodplain. The study is aimed at producing information on flood behaviour for a wide range of flood events under existing floodplain conditions, using the most up-to-date modelling techniques currently available. It complies with the requirements of a Flood Study as per Stage 1 of the NSW Government's Flood Policy.

Kyogle is situated at the confluence of the Richmond River and Fawcetts Creek within the Richmond River Valley of New South Wales.
