Parkes Shire Council
Parkes Shire is a local government area in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. The Shire is located adjacent to the Broken Hill railway line and the Newell Highway., and services the communities of Parkes, Bogan Gate, Trundle, Tullamore, Alectown and Cookamidgera with a combined population of over 15,000 over a region of 5,919 square kilometres.
Increased flood security will be achieved by recent works on Lake Endeavour Dam.
